McKenzie, Tenn.–An unoccupied residence in McKenzie was destroyed by an early morning fire.
The McKenzie Fire & Rescue was called to 74 Woodrow Ave., at 12:40 a.m. Saturday. Fire Chief Brian Tucker told WENK/WTPR that the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived and was a total loss.
He said no one was living at the residence at this time and that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. “There was no electricity to the house but there was gas,” he said.
