HUMBOLDT, TN—Congressman David Kustoff has recognized local students for their Congressional artwork at a reception at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center. Students who received awards included Laney Priest, Obion County winner and Kali Towater, the Carroll County winner.
Congressman Kustoff announced the overall winner, Tierra Anderson, whose artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year, where lawmakers and thousands of visitors will walk past it each day.
“It is clear West Tennessee is home to some exceptional artists, and I continue to be impressed by the art education being taught throughout the 8th District. Each of these students has done a tremendous job of showcasing our state’s vibrant culture, and the love they have for Tennessee shines through in their work,” said Rep. Kustoff. “Congratulations to all the winners and I look forward to seeing Tierra’s artwork in the U.S. Capitol.”
