Murray, Ky.–The Murray Police Department still has room available for its next Citizen’s Police Academy, which begins Monday, April 29. If you are interested in law enforcement, or live in Murray and would like to meet different officers from our department, or just have questions in general about how the Murray Police Department operates they would love to see you there.
The Spring 2019 Citizens Police Academy will begin on April 29th and will meet on Monday nights through June 17th starting at 6:30 p.m. Each week, students will learn about a different aspect of police work from MPD officers, detectives, prosecutors, firearms instructors, and other parts of the criminal justice system.
Anyone aged 18 or older and has an interest in how law enforcement operates is welcome to join. There is no cost and you do not have to have any previous knowledge of law enforcement. The Citizen’s Police Academy classes are held in the new Murray Police Department at 104 North 5th Street.
