Dover, Tenn.–The Stewart Co. Sheriff’s Office has received a grant from Tennessee Risk Management Trust which will pay for new bulletproof vests for all five of the county’s School Resource Officers. The grant of $5,600.00 will also pay for the SRO’S to attend the training and SRO conference this summer.
Sheriff Frankie Gray thanked Dr. Philip Wallace, Trust Administrator, and Chris Stites, Trust Safety Engineer. Special thanks also to Lynn Butkiewicz and Chief Deputy Dale Ward for their work on the grant.
