Dyersburg, Tenn.—A woman threatening to jump from the Millsfield Highway Bridge in Dyersburg was rescused by the Dyersburg Police Department Monday.
Both Interstate I-155 and Millsfield Highway were shut down by Dyersburg Police during the incident.
Dyersburg Police responded around 8 a.m. in reference to a female in crisis and sitting on the railing of the bridge.
Officers negotiated with the female for some 20 minutes and were able to safely remove her from the bridge.
She was transported to West Tennessee Healthcare. Dyersburg Fire and West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg ambulance crews also responded.
