Everyone Invited To Share A Meal At The Shepherd's Table

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The next Shepherd’s Table is Tuesday, April 16, at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon, and as always, everyone is invited to share a meal.
The Community Kitchen was created by the volunteers at the church.  Each month new faces join the crew for supper, as well as returning guests. The Shepherd’s Table has served as many as 70 guests at a time and always willing to serve more.
They will be hosting their next supper Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall located at 19835 E. Main Street. Dining will begin promptly at 5 pm and the kitchen will remain open until 6:45pm. Anyone hungry or seeking fellowship for supper is invited.
The menu for this month’s meal will include spiral cut ham, homemade sweet potato casserole, green beans, rolls and a special dessert.  Milk, tea and water will be available for everyone, as well.
Attending The Shepherd’s Table is like visiting your favorite casual restaurant in town. You are greeted at the door by a host and seated at a table. A server will bring you a drink and take your order. Your food is served to you hot and fresh from the kitchen. There is also a crew of volunteers to help with clean up when you are finished.
Committee Chairman David Ray Carter said a big thank you to all that assist The Shepherd’s Table each month. “I invite you to get on our calendar to help volunteer in the future. What a blessing it is to serve,” he said.
Between the generous donations and what the committee spends each month, each meal costs approximately $50 to $100. If you would like to sponsor a meal or give a donation of any amount please contact The Shepherd’s Table by calling The First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon at (731) 986-5642. If no answer, please leave a message, someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Or please feel free to attend one of our suppers.
The Shepherd’s Table will have supper every third Tuesday of the month. The following supper has been planned for May 21st, at the First Presbyterian Church Of Huntingdon.
