KSP Seeks Public's Help In Home Invasion

Trigg County, Ky.– The Kentucky State Police is seeking the public’s help in a home invasion that occurred in Trigg County early this morning.  According to Trooper Jay Thomas, the home invasion was reportedly committed by people who claimed to be with the sheriff’s office and wearing what appeared to be law enforcement equipment.
The Mayfield  Post  received a call from the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office at 2:51 a.m. Saturday, April 6  at about a home invasion on Compton Rd.
Sometime between 2 A.M and 2:30 A.M.  two black males knocked on a door, wearing what appeared to be Law Enforcement equipment and announcing themselves as Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.  The two males then rushed into the residence along with two other black males and detained the adults and juveniles in the residence.  The males stole several items from the house before leaving in a single unknown vehicle, with an unknown direction of travel.  The residents did not receive any injuries requiring medical attention.
KSP Detective David Dick is continuing the investigation.  KSP was assisted on the scene by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555.  Citizens may also report tips anonymously through the KSP app.  The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores.
