UCEA Now Offers High Speed, Broadband To Residential Customers

Union City, Tenn.–After two years of providing high speed internet and E+ Broadband service to its almost 200 Commercial customers, Union City Energy Authority will begin offering these same services to its residential customers.
CEO Jerry Bailey said their office and he personally receive calls almost daily asking when the service will be available to homes.
Bailey said, “We have begun in areas west of Union City and will begin connecting customers in other areas as we have those areas ready to provide these services”.   He said the system is not offering TV services but with the increased demand for streaming services such as YouTubeTV® or DirectTVNow® that also include local channels, the regular TV services are seeing a decline in sales.
Bailey said streaming services continue to take away market share from standard TV with prices and offerings that make the services very attractive for customers.   He stated further that as the streaming services continue to evolve more and more people may see this is their best option. “What is needed to provide these streaming services as well as other internet use is a very consistent and reliable internet connection.   Being the only internet provider with an all fiber optic network, competitive rates and local support, we can offer internet that is very attractive to all our customers.”
Bailey went on to say as more and more devices rely on a very reliable internet connection, such as home cameras monitored remotely, more and more users will require faster speeds without delays, making an internet connection that is consistent and reliable even  more important.
Customers wanting more information about their system or when it might be available in their area should call the office at 731-885-9212 or look at their website at UnionCityFiber.com to see what areas are available.
Bailey said, “We would like to thank our commercial and residential customers for their support of our fiber optic system.  We think it has proved itself to be what our customers want and expect from a local company like us”.
