Union City, Tenn.–Students in Kristy Jones’ fourth-grade Advanced Math class were put “on the lookout” as part of a recent Geometry project.
Mrs. Jones’ Union City Elementary School kids were challenged to find and take photos of geometry examples — types of lines/angles and various quadrilaterals — they’d recently been studying in her class.
From objects in their home to others at stores in and about town and on roadways, students presented their findings via a collection of photos.
They presented those discoveries Tuesday for other students, who also got a brief explanation of each photo and geometry example.
Mrs. Jones evaluated those projects and graded both them and the verbal portion of the assignment.
