South Fulton Commissioners Vote To Terminate City Manager

South Fulton, Tenn.—South Fulton Commissioners have voted to terminate City Manager James Gray and to offer him the opportunity to request a public hearing on the termination in the next 15 days. The commissioners voted unanimously.
Gray was arrested in February after allegedly attempting to pass a fake $100 bill at two different Union City businesses.
South Fulton Commissioners earlier had placed Gray on paid suspension and appointed Johnny Bacon as Interim City Manager. Bacon is scheduled to begin work March 25.
Gray also is an Obion County Commissioner.
Gray was previously Hickman City Manager and began work as South Fulton City Manager February 11. He was arrested February 25. He was arraigned February 26, with his next court appearance set next week, March 28.
If Gray does not request a public hearing, his termination will be official.
