Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy Hayley French and her K9 Zoe enter the commercial building at the Henry County Fairgrounds at last night’s public demonstration, the culminating event for this week’s North American Police Work Dog Association K9 Training School this week.
French is the first female K9 handler in Henry Co. and she and Zoe performed training exercises for the crowd that was on hand. Other local handlers performing with their K9s were Sgt. Ricky Wade and Viper, Paris Police Lt. Michael Ramos and his K9 Kinzee, and Sheriff’s Sgt. Wayne Fuqua and Adora.
K-9s and handlers from multiple agencies across the United States have been participating in the training at the fairgrounds in Henry County and several performed exercises for the crowd last night.
The event is organized by Sgt. Wade, who also is a Master Trainer and is on the board of directors for the North American Police Work Dog Association.
Sheriff Monte Belew said it was a great session “and everyone did a great job this week.”
