Paris, Tenn.–Gary and Nancy Morris of Paris, inventors of the FOOTBAR Walker, were honored Wednesday as winners of the Rising Star Award and Travis McLeese, Executive Director of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, was honored with the Community Partner Award from the Tennessee Small Business Development Center at UT-Martin.
The presentation was made at the Paris-Henry Co. Chamber of Commerce as part of National Small Business Development Day.
The Rising Star Award recognizes entrepreneurs who are on the rise, have demonstrated growth potential, job creation, and have exhibited a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
The Community Partner Award was established to honor community leaders who promote the Center’s services to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Making the presentation was Landy Fuqua, director of the Small Business Development Center at UT-Martin.
