Murray, Ky.–The CSFB Center in Murray was rocking at the Selection Sunday Watch Party when it was announced that the Murray State Racers earned a No. 12 seed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament and will face Marquette in the first round in the West Region.
The Racers will play the No. 5 seed Marquette on Thursday in Hartford, Conn.
Murray State’s storybook season has been led by phenom Ja Morant, who is seen as a potential top-five pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. This is the second year in a row that the Racers have reached the NCAA Tournament.
Murray State received an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament by winning Belmont for the Ohio Valley Conference title.
