Gleason, Tenn.—A Gleason couple has been arrested on a variety of drug, pornography and indecent exposure charges involving young girls.
Arrested were Clarence Allen Grantham, age 59, and Brandy Leeann Manuel, age 36, of Holland Street.
The Weakley Co. Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at their home after an investigation into allegations that a resident there had shown pornographic material to several 10-year-old girls.
According to Captain Randall McGowan, it was further determined that the resident was giving girls cigarettes and he may have given them marijuana. The girls told investigators they also had seen Grantham without clothes on.
McGowan said Grantham admitted giving the girls cigarettes, that they had seen pornographic material in his house and that there had been pictures on his phone of the girls without clothes on that had been deleted. He said the girls took the photos themselves.
According to the press release, during the search of the house, investigators found several pornographic movies in the house and they found one that matched the description given to them by the girls. The girls said they had seen it on a cell phone.
Investigators also found a small amount of meth, pipes and other drug paraphernalia.
Manuel was charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia and already had an active warrant for her arrest for failure to appear.
Grantham was charged with drug possession, possession of paraphernalia, indecent exposure and contributing to the delinquency of the juveniles.
McGowan said the case is still under investigation and search warrants will be obtained for more cell phones and computers.
Grantham’s bond was set at $50,000 and Manuel’s bond at $2,500.
The Gleason Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office in the search.
