Dresden, Tenn.–Henry County Sheriff’s Sgt. Wayne Fuqua and his K9 Adora were again called upon to help track a subject over the weekend.
Fuqua and Adora tracked a pregnant woman who threatened to harm herself in Weakley County Saturday morning. Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew said the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office called for assistance by Fuqua and his K9 around 8 a.m. and were told the woman had disappeared into the woods after threatening to harm herself.
Fuqua and his bloodhound Adora picked up the woman’s scent and followed the scent through the woods and to the highway, where the woman was seen by a witness being picked up by a car.
Weakley County Sheriff’s Captain Randall McGowan said the woman had an ice pick and a knife but ultimately did not harm herself. Once it was reported that she had gotten into a car on the highway, she was picked up in Dresden. He said she was taken to Henry County Medical Center for evaluation.
Sgt. Fuqua and Adora have tracked several missing subjects as well as several suspects running away from law enforcement officers.
