Gleason, Tenn.—The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, 24th Judicial Drug Task Force and the TBI, arrested a Carroll County man in connection with the theft of over 40 guns from a residence in January.
Arrested was Scottie Nicodemus Owens, age 37. He was charged with aggravated burglary and theft of over $10,000. He has been released on $25,000 bond.
Weakley County Sheriff’s Captain Randall McGowan said the break-in occurred at a residence on Tumbling Creek Road east of Gleason. The guns had a street value of between $20,000-$30,000.
McGowan said as of today (Monday, March 11), nine of the stolen guns have been covered. The case is still under investigation.
