Evansville, Indiana—The rumors that were swirling around the Ford Center in Evansville Friday turned out to be true as Lakers Legend Magic Johnson walked into the arena just minutes before Murray State and Jacksonville State faced off.
Johnson is the Lakers’ President of Basketball Operations now and he was there presumably to scout Murray State’s phenom Ja Morant. Also there to watch Morant was Arizona Cardinals’ Wide Receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
Johnson told ESPN during the game, “I’m really proud of Murray State. Man, they brought a lot of people here. This is amazing!”
