Henry County Storm Shelters To Open This Afternoon

Paris, Tenn.–Three Henry County storm shelters will be open this afternoon in anticipation of severe storms.
Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew said the shelters at Henry, Harrelson and Inman Schools will be open to the public beginning at 1:30 p.m. “We’ll have them open until at least 3:30 p.m. or longer than that, depending on what is happening with the weather.”
He said Emergency Management Agency Director Ron Watkins said it appears the severe storm threat will be strongest beginning at 1:30 p.m.
A deputy will be stationed at each of the three shelters. Henry School is located at 937 Pioneer Rd., Henry; Inman is located at 400 Harrison St., Paris; and Harrelson School is at 143 Puryear-Country Club Rd.
