Stewart Co. Business Receives Veterans' Business Grant

Dover, Tenn.– Local Business Owner and Entrepreneur Kristi May of Legend Acres was one of the 10 businesses chosen by the Institute for Veterans and Military to be featured in the Business Showcase at the Institute ‘s VeteranEdge Conference in Dallas this month. It also received a $10,000 business grant.
The Showcase features veteran-owned businesses and is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to meet with veteran small business owners.
May thanked the Institute for the Veteran Entrepreneur programs and opportunities offered to veterans looking into starting a business and the programs for veterans already in business.
“The opportunities and programs have helped me grow and develop my business over the last six months and I wish I had known about the programs when I opened Legend Acres 8 years ago,” she said.
Legend Acres will use the funds to expand business and facilities to better serve its clients and meet their needs.
