Paris, Tenn.—The Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the County Emergency Management Agency, Henry Co. Schools and Paris Special Schools, is opening the school’s tornado safe spaces Saturday in anticipation of severe weather.
Sheriff Monte Belew said Inman School will be open from 1-9 p.m. and Harrelson, Lakewood and Henry Schools will be open from 5-9 p.m.
Belew said a deputy will be at each location.
EMA and the sheriff’s office are continuing to monitor the severe weather that is expected and if the shelters need to be open longer, they will be.
The threat level for Henry Co. is enhanced, he said, with the severe storms expected later Saturday afternoon and evening.
