Trenton Police Opens Internet Purchase Exchange Site

Trenton, Tenn.–In an effort to protect Trenton residents from becoming victims of crime when selling or purchasing items advertised online, the Trenton Police Department has introduced an initiative designed to provide a safe zone for transactions.
How it Works –
Trenton residents & residents of nearby towns who are selling or purchasing items advertised online may come to the back of the Police Department, 309 South College Street, to complete their transaction (signage is present).

Our hope is to aid in safeguarding the lives and property of the people in our community and to help reduce the sense of anxiety many residents may feel whenever they are buying or selling items advertised online.
This is also an area that people can use to perform child custody exchanges.
The area is under 24 hour video surveillance by Trenton Police Department.
This site joins other safe exchange sites in our area, including at the Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office and the Martin Police Department.
