MARTIN, Tenn.– Rev. Dr. Williams Barber II, pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and president of the North Carolina conference of the NAACP, served as keynote speaker Feb. 21 during the University of Tennessee at Martin’s 19th-annual Civil Rights Conference. Barber spoke on the conference theme “Toward a Radical Revolution of Values: A New Poor People’s Campaign,” and his presentation was followed by a performance by the UT Martin Voices of Harmony gospel choir.
