South Fulton Man Charged In Two Bank Robberies

South Fulton, Ky.—South Fulton Police have identified the suspects arrested in connection to the bank robbery Wednesday morning and one of the suspects has also been charged in the bank robbery that occurred in Fulton, Ky., earlier this month.
The two were arrested Wednesday in Weakley Co. and are being held in the Obion County Jail.
Obion County Chief Deputy Kent Treece told WENK/WTPR yesterday that because it is a bank robbery, the FBI is involved in the investigation.
The Simmons Bank in South Fulton was robbed around 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Suspects in the case are Shantez Burnside, age 37, of South Fulton, and Julie Olds of Franklin.
Burnside has been charged in both robberies. For the Kentucky robbery, he is charged with first-degree robbery and theft by unlawful taking of over $500.
According to a press release from the South Fulton Police, the male subject entered the bank and demanded money from the teller, then fled on foot in the same manner as the suspect in the February 6 robbery of Security Bank and Trust in Fulton, Ky.
Burnside had just been released on parole from the Kentucky Department of Corrections on February 1.
The charges against Olds have not been released.
When apprehended, the suspects were in a car in Weakley County and the money from the robbery reportedly was recovered.
