The board approved board policies:
Director of Schools Dr. Norma Gerrell said the Tennessee School Board Association recommends clarifying who is responsible for making a list of substitute teachers. The board approved assigning the Director of Schools as having responsibility for making the list of substitute teachers.
Dr. Gerrell said the current policy on Student Wellness was not specific enough and proposed a policy which includes the nutritionals tandards, education goals, physical activity, implementation, monitoring and assessments that are required to follow USDA requirements. The board approved her recommendation.
At the close of the meeting, board members met with Maintenance Supervisor Jason Coffield on the proposed five-year plan for building and maintenance.
