Eddyville, Ky.–Someone has been throwing road closed signs into ditches in Lyon County and Sheriff Brent White and his deputies are looking for the culprits.
The road closed signs were placed on roads closed by flooding and high waters.
According to the sheriff’s office, a woman called 911 last night when she almost drove through the flood waters because someone threw the road closed signs in the ditch. Road closed signs have been found in ditches on Hopewell and Joe Peek Roads.
The sheriff’s office noted this could cost someone their life, adding that the County Attorney will prosecute the suspects.
