Martin, Tenn.–A missing Greenfield woman was located this morning after she had wrecked her car in a ditch in Martin.
The woman, Nancy C. Maclin, age 80, was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with what appear to be non life-threatening injuries.
At 5:13 am Friday morning, the Martin Police Department received a notice from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department about a missing woman. She was reportedly driving a 1998 tan Buick sedan.
Officers of the Martin Police Department began localized searches in areas in and around the Martin city limits guided by cell phone location data.
At approx. 7:15 this morning, Ptl. Kerry Workman located the vehicle turned upside down in a large ditch across from Davis Automotive on Elm St. Ms. Maclin was located inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Martin Fire Department personnel. She was transported by Weakley County Ambulance from the scene with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation pertaining to the crash is still ongoing by the Martin Police Department. No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.
