Obion Co., Tenn.—A driver was rescued from floodwaters in Obion Co. last night and rescuers are calling him lucky.
The Obion Co. Rescue Squad called for mutual aid from the Sharon Fire Department at the scene on D. Crockett Road to assist in the rescue of an individual who was trapped in his pickup truck that was overcome by water.
Rescuers said the individual is lucky and the outcome could have been very different. “Folks, do NOT attempt to drive your vehicle into water,” the Sharon Fire Department said on a Facebook post.
