Murray, Ky.—A Murray man is lodged in the Calloway Co. Jail on a long list of charges, including promoting sexual performance by a minors, drug possession, drug trafficking, and receiving stolen property.
Murray Police executed a search warrant at the home of Joseph Costilow, age 20, also known as Joey Amacher, at his residence on Irvan Street.
The investigation is ongoing and Murray Police are seeking other possible victims.
The investigation began from a complaint from a juvenile female who said she had been sexually assaulted. During the investigation, a search warrant was submitted through a social media site and it was discovered there was more than one victim involved, according to Sgt. Brant Shutt.
Using the name Joey Amacher, Costilow had contacted the juvenile females, Sgt. Shutt said.
The first warrant for Costilow was executed February 6 for four counts of distributing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, five counts of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance, and five counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor. All are felonies.
Officers also found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun that was found to be stolen. Costilow also was charged with trafficking marijuana, received stolen property (firearm), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was then transported to the Calloway County Jail.
On Sunday, February 10, another warrant for his arrest was issued and served on Costilow. The warrant was for another six counts of distributing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, six counts of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance, and six counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.
