Paris, Tenn.–Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Michelle Brewer was awarded the Jefferson Award by WBBJ TV in Jackson.
This award is nationally recognized and was voted on by the public. A banquet will be held for each Jefferson Award winner later this year and one person will be picked to go to Washington and speak.
WBBJ came to the sheriff’s office Monday and interviewed Michelle along with her husband, Paris Police Captain John Brewer and some volunteers at The Shed, which was originated by Michelle. The Shed collects donated clothing and goods which are given away to people in need, no questions asked.
The program will air later this month.
