Union City, Tenn.—Union City Police are seeking a suspect who was hiding in the back room of a local business, stole items and left out the front door after the store was closed.
Officers responded to an alarm at the Dollar General around 10 p.m. Wednesday night and found the front door unlocked. Officers cleared the business and when the store manager arrived, they watched the surveillance footage and saw a white male had hid in the back room of the store and came out after employees left.
Footage showed him putting something in his pocket. A check of the back room revealed an empty package for a cell phone valued at $79. A check of the bathroom revealed an empty box of Bic lighters valued at $59.40 that was taken from the back of the store. The subject then left out the front door.
