
Dyer County, Tenn.—Two bodies were found inside a burned vehicle in Dyer County early Saturday morning and multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating.
In a press release, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials said the bodies were found inside a burned vehicle just off Great River Road.
Dyer Co. Sheriff Jeff Box said a passerby reported the vehicle on fire around 2:43 a.m. The Lenox Fire Department arrived on the scene and put out the fire. The vehicle is a 2019 Ford Edge and is a rental from Kentucky.
The TBI, Dyer Co. Sheriff’s Office, State Bomb and Arson department, TWRA, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and District Attorney’s Office were at the scene. The bodies are being examined by the Shelby Co. Medical Examiner’s Office.
