Stewart Co. Sheriff's Office Receives Biggest Monthly Check For Housing Inmates

Dover, Tenn.—Stewart County Sheriff Frankie Gray, Jail Administrator Kenny Anderson and Lt. Loren Miller look over a check from the state of Tennessee in the amount of $49,023 for housing of state inmates in the Stewart County Jail during the month of December 2018. This is the largest amount ever received by the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office for a month of housing inmates. Sheriff Gray said he attributes this to the outstanding job being done by the jail staff and Jail Administrator Anderson. He said, “They are to be commended for their hard work and efficient use of the detention facility. The money will go back into the general fund for county use.” (Stewart Co. Sheriff’s Office photo).
