Paris, Tenn.–Students from the AVID program at Grove School visited Bethel University on Monday. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. In addition to a campus tour and learning more about the University, the students were able to spend time with Bethel President Dr. Walter Butler. During their question and answer section, Dr. Butler encouraged the students to work hard, never give up, and build solid relationships. He also gave the students interview and resume tips.
The trip was organized by Alex Cox, AVID Program Coodinator, and Travis McLeese, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce.
