Springville, Tenn.–Tennessee Wildlife Refuge Manager Barron Crawford announced today the cancellation of the Bald Eagle and Waterfowl Auto tour at Duck River Bottoms in New Johnsonville due to the lapse in government appropriations. This event was scheduled to occur on Saturday January 19th.
Due to the lapse in government appropriations for the Department of Interior and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service all activities that require staff to be on site are cancelled. Refuge Lane and Pintail Observation Deck are open and the public is welcome to visit these areas to view wildlife on their own.
