Jackson, Tenn.—Bad news for area pageant fans. The Miss Tennessee Scholarship pageant is leaving Jackson.
Miss Tennessee Pageant Director Joe Albright sent out a text message with the announcement Sunday evening.
The pageant, he said, “will be in Knoxville. They have been so supportive and we have received no indication from Jackson that it was important for us to be in Jackson. With Knoxville, it has been overwhelmingly amazing.”
Albright said the venue for the pageant and related activities have not been finalized.
