Union City, Tenn.—A driver from Jackson was cited following a Union City accident in which an elderly woman was injured.
Precious McGraw, age 30, of Jackson was cited for following too closely, driving on an expired license and no insurance after the accident which occurred around 1:35 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of South Fifth St. and West Reelfoot Ave.
Jerldene Thompson, age 81, of Hornbeak, complained of possible injuries and medical personnel came to the scene but she refused transport to the local emergency room.
According to the police report, both vehicles were southbound on S. Fifth St. and Thompson slowed for traffic and McGraw’s vehicle struck her vehicle in the rear.
