Union City, Tenn.–The Union City High School softball team will host its annual Chili Cook-Off Feb. 5 and the deadline to enter your chili recipe is January 29.
There will be two cash prize winners this year – Fan Favorite, chosen by all paying guests, and Union City’s Best Chili, chosen by a panel of judges.
Ticket prices to eat are $10 pre-sale and $12 at the door and include unlimited chili and all the trimmings, plus dessert and drink. Tickets for UC School System teachers, students and staff members are $5. Serving will begin at 5 p.m.
There is no cost to enter your chili recipe. Entries are to be received at the commons area on the afternoon of Feb. 5.
Deadline to fill out the entry form is Jan. 29.
