Calvert City, Ky.—Two people were rescued from the Tennessee River after the tug boat they were riding on sank near Calvert City.
The Marshall Co. Squad was called to the scene near Arkema and Bailey’s Port Monday night. The individuals were on a tug that sank in about 35-feet deep water.
According to the squad, the individuals were in the water for about 20 minutes and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Mutual aid was provided by Calvert City Fire, Marshall County EMS and Marshall County Emergency Management.
