Paris, Tenn.—The truck that was stolen and driven through the front gate of the Henry Co. Recycling Center Saturday night was recovered buried in mud on private property several miles away on Monday.
Paris Police Investigator Derrek Colley told WENK/WTPR that the truck was found on Jack Hill Road, which is located off of Hwy. 79 S. He said the property owner found the truck buried in the mud and called 911.
The white 1996 GMC 4WD pickup 2500 was already damaged by the suspect or suspects ramming it through the gates at the recycling center, with damage to the front, side mirrors and no tailgate.
Colley said officers found items in the truck that are being tested for fingerprints.
