Paris, Tenn.—With help from the Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter unit, seven people were arrested on a variety of drug charges Monday night by the Metro Crime Unit, Paris Police, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and the Paris Police FAST Team during execution of a search warrant at 1084 Little Benton Rd. in Springville.
Before entering the home, officers in the THP helicopter observed a person running from the residence into a wooded area behind the house. The suspect later identified as Brandon Fisher of Paris was seen throwing a shotgun on the ground when he took off running, according to a press release issued by the Metro Crime Unit.
Deputy Sgt. Jamie Myrick began a foot pursuit with the suspect, who he apprehended with the help of the helicopter search light. Fisher was tazed by Myrick in order to apprehend him.
The Paris FAST Team then entered the residence, cleared it, and detained six more subjects.
During a search of the residence, officers located a felony amount of crystal meth, a large amount of drug paraphernalia and two guns.
While officers were at the residence, a maroon Lexus came into the driveway. When they saw the patrol units, they started backing out of the driveway in an attempt to elude officers. The driver crashed the vehicle at the end of the drive and took off on foot.
Corporal Stacey Bostwick, along with his K9 Rowdy and other officers began a track for the suspects, but were unable to locate them after a lengthy search.
Fisher was arrested with evading arrest, possession with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. Also arrested were Gary Medlock, Cole Fairway, Paris; Stephanie Parris, Caledonia St., Paris; Alicia Lee, Irvine St., Paris; and Darby Fusilier of Camden, charged with possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Harrison Fisher, Mansfield; and Stephanie Loines, Mansfield, charged with possession with intent and accessory after the fact.
Paris Investigator Jeramye Whitaker said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
