Union City, Tenn.–All Union City Elementary School students will return to classes for the second semester Thursday and will be welcomed back with a free breakfast.
UCSS Director of Schools Wes Kennedy said every UCES student will be served breakfast each day in their classroom, beginning at 7:45 a.m.
“We feel that eating breakfast together in the classroom each day is the best way to start a day of learning,” Kennedy said.
A letter to the parents of students at UCES was previously sent home before the Christmas break, detailing the news.
