Union City, Tenn.–Dante Gareth Cavasos-Zabel made his presence in the world at 3:04 a.m. on New Year’s Day, making him the first baby born at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City in 2019. The son of Ashley Cavasos and Joshua Zabel of Tiptonville, he weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21 1⁄2 inches long. He was presented with a backpack filled with gifts by the hospital for being the first baby of 2019.
