Dresden, Tenn.—A mobile home was destroyed during a Christmas Eve blaze in Dresden.
Dresden Deputy Fire Chief Kory Green said firefighters were dispatched at 11:35 p.m. Christmas Eve to 1076 Evergreen St. and found heavy fire and smoke coming through the front door and roof.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured fighting the blaze.
Green was the first person on the scene and told the Dresden Enterprise, “I’d say about 75 percent of it was involved when I arrived. It had such a head start on us that by the time we got our hoses laid out, it had already spread to the rest of the structure.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
