Nashville, Tenn.– Brenna Smith of McKenzie is now a Tennessee State Trooper, having been graduated with the 2018-2019 Cadet Class recently during a ceremony in Nashville.
Smith was especially honored that her badge was pinned on her uniform by Colonel Dereck Stewart, who also is from McKenzie and is the highest-ranking officer in the THP.
Smith has been assigned to Rutherford County.
She began her service to law enforcement while she was still at McKenzie High School, serving with the state DARE board from the time she was a sophomore through her senior year. She has an impressive resume, which includes training at the DEA facility in Quantico, Va. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from MTSU.
She is the daughter of Larry and Kim Smith of McKenzie.
