McKenzie, Tenn.—Two vehicles ended up in the water in the bottoms area of Hwy. 79S in Carroll Co. following an accident around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
According to McKenzie Fire and Rescue Chief Brian Tucker, one occupant needed to be extricated from their vehicle by the Rescue Squad and EMS, while the other occupant got himself out of his vehicle.
Condition reports were unavailable.
The accident occurred between Winston and St. John Church Roads.
The Highway Patrol investigated the accident and more details will be available when the patrol releases its report.
