Paris, Tenn.—Both drivers were injured following a two-car accident on Hwy. 54 Tuesday afternoon in Henry Co.
According to Sgt. Brad Wilbanks of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Angela Melton, age 46, of Dresden, was driving westbound on Hwy. 54, with Judith Pittman, age 72, of Eva, following behind her when they collided for unknown reasons.
Pittman’s 2006 Chrysler 300 ran off the north side of the roadway, came back onto the road and then ran off the south side of the roadway, landing in the yard of a residence. Both were wearing seatbelts.
The drivers were reportedly transported to Henry Co. Medical Center by ambulance. Condition reports were not available. The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office.
