Shepherd's Table To Serve Community Supper Tuesday

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Shepherd’s Table, the Community Kitchen created by the volunteers at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon, serves more and more guests with each passing month. The volunteers served more than 80 guests at their November supper.
They will be hosting their next supper on Tuesday, December 18th,  at  their Fellowship Hall located at 19835 E. Main Street, in Huntingdon. Dining will begin promptly at 5 pm and the kitchen will remain open until 6:45 pm. Anyone hungry or seeking fellowship for supper is invited.
The menu for the December meal will include spiral cut ham, homemade macaroni and cheese, fresh English peas and glazed baby carrots.  There will also be fresh baked rolls and delicious desserts.
Everyone that attends The Shepherd’s Table is treated as a guest and served restaurant style.  Volunteers greet the guests at the door and lead them to a table. They take their drink orders and deliver their meals to them hot and fresh from the kitchen. The volunteers also take care of the clean up.
The mission of the Community Kitchen is to serve as many people in need of a hot meal as possible.  Their success is dependent upon guests attending, volunteers serving and monetary donations. If you know of someone that needs a hot meal or would just prefer to not eat alone please inform them about The Shepherd’s Table or better yet bring them by and join.
More information about volunteering or donating to the Shepherd’s Table may be obtained by calling The First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon at (731) 986-5642. If no answer, please leave a message, someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
The Shepherd’s Table plan to continue into the new year and have supper every third Tuesday of the month. The following supper has been planned for January 16th, at the First Presbyterian Church Of Huntingdon.
