Martin, Tenn.—This year’s Santa’s Village at the University of Tennessee at Martin was a definite success, with some 17,860 people in attendance this year and more than 15,000 cans of food donated. The number of toys that were donated were still being tallied.
This was the 34th annual holiday celebration, which is sponsored by UT-Martin and the city of Martin. There is no admission charge, but visitors are encouraged to donate canned goods and unopened toys which are given to the local needy each year.
