Downtown Paris Festival Of Trees To Open Tuesday

Paris, Tenn.—The annual Festival of Trees will be opening Tuesday morning with the Paris-Henry Co. Chamber Coffee and will continue through December 19.
Downtown Paris Association Executive Director Kathy Ray said as many as 28 beautifully decorated trees will be on display at the event, which is again located at The Old Paris 5 & 10 Event Center at 110 W. Washington St. on the court square.
The trees were decorated by local businesses, organizations, schools and other groups, and the interior of The Old Paris 5 & 10 looks like a Winter Wonderland, which Ray pointed out would be perfect for photo opportunities. “Be sure to bring your camera for the perfect Christmas family photograph,” she said.
The Festival of Trees will open at 8 a.m. December 4th, for the Chamber Coffee, and at which nine awards will be presented to winners in the following categories: “Most Creative” first, second and third places, “Most Traditional” first, second and third places, “Best Theme”, “Out of the Box”, and “Best of Show”.
“People’s Choice “will be voted on by visitors to the event and will be presented at the conclusion of the event on December 19th.  Visitors are asked for a $1 donation.
Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm; and Sundays 1 to 4 pm.
Staffing will be overseen by the Downtown Paris Association. If you would like to volunteer at this event, please contact Kathy Ray at 653-7274.
