Former Kuttawa City Clerk, Husband Arrested

Sevier County, Tenn.—Former Kuttawa City Clerk Katie Harrison has been arrested in Tennessee on fugitive from justice charges and is being held awaiting extradition proceedings.
 
Outstanding warrants filed against Harrison by the Kentucky State Police also charge her with 24 counts of 2nd degree forgery.
 
Her husband, Clayton Harrison, was arrested with her and he is wanted as a fugitive from justice and on 10 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.
 
Harrison is in the custody of Sevier Co. officials.
 
According to a press release issued by the KSP, Katie Harrison will go through the extradition process in Tennessee and once that process is over, Tennessee authorities will contact the KSP and give them a date to pick her up.
 
She is accused of stealing tax money and will reportedly go before a judge in Sevier Co. on Thursday. She has reportedly refused to sign extradition papers.
